Shopping for your wedding dress should be one of the best experiences of your life. Here at Luxe Bridal, we do everything we can to make sure that you have the most wonderful, memorable, fun experience possible!
To help you achieve that, we’ve put together some advice to brides. We believe this advice will better your shopping experience and help keep your stress levels at an all-time bridal low.
Our bridal stylists have joined together to give their best recommendations, this will help you prepare and know what to expect when dress shopping at Luxe Bridal.
“Be ready to buy”
When you go shopping you should be ready to buy! If you are “just looking”, the best way to do this is to gather inspiration online with magazines and pinterst. Once you start trying on, you and your bridal stylist will quickly learn what shape and style looks best on you. Once you find a dress that you don’t want to get out of, that’s “The One”!
It’s kind of like finding a husband: Once you find the perfect man for you, you stop looking!
“Don’t judge a dress on the hanger”
Some dresses just don’t look good on a hanger. It just might be the one! Always be open to the stylist’s suggestion. Remember that they work with these gowns daily and they have had plenty of experience with the styling and fit of the gowns. They are there to help you, so let them!
“This is reality not reality TV”
Saying YES your wedding dress is an emotional purchase, but TV shows dramatize the experience. Not all brides react the same way when they find their dream dress. It’s okay if you don’t cry, if you feel excited, joyful, happy and beautiful, then you know that it’s THE dress!
Many people say that you should try on as many dresses as you can, but the truth is that it only gets harder the more gowns you try. While trying on is so much fun, eventually all of the dresses start to run together. The process can get more frustrating than enjoyable. Limit your shopping to 1-2 stores and 10-15 dress per store, it will limit your stress.
Cheers to finding THE dress!
